I renewed my library card, wait til you hear what I had to do . . .

To renew my library card:

1. I had to show my driver’s license.

2. I had to sign on an electronic signature capture device.

3. I had to have my PICTURE taken.

All this for a library card. But they didn’t ask for my birth certificate.

And there are people criticizing Arizona for enforcing federal laws and national borders??

Obama’s Secret Power Grabs

By Phil Kerpen, FOXNews.com, Updated April 12, 2010

President Obama seems to believe that most of his sweeping agenda to transform the country can be accomplished without even a vote of Congress.

While Congress considers sweeping new legislation to permanently institutionalize the bailouts and federal control of our financial system (right on the heels of their health care takeover, of course) several other sweeping power grabs are going on outside the spotlight of legislative debate. Indeed President Obama seems to believe that most of his sweeping agenda to transform the country can be accomplished without even a vote of Congress. The chart seen above and found here shows what the administration is up to.

–SNIP– Obama has a pattern of sidestepping Congress that will only get worse in the aftermath of the health care fight and the pending financial “reform” legislation. For a full explanation of all of these threats as well as action items on how to stop them, please check out the interactive version of the chart on www.ObamaChart.com.

Wisconsin Billboard Calls for Obama’s Ouster

Associated Press, Mon, Feb 15, 2010

Somebody in Wisconsin doesn’t like President Barack Obama all that much.

An unnamed company has paid for a billboard along Highway 41 in Oshkosh that reads, “Impeach Obama.”

The tagline says: “America’s small businesses are failing; help us spread the message.”

It was paid for by an unnamed company represented by Tom Wroblewski who told the AP the sentiment is that Washington politics are bad for small businesses.

‘Miss Me Yet?’ Billboard seen in Minnesota

By Mark Memmott, NPR, Feb. 8, 2010

Internet chatter had led to speculation that it might be an urban myth — nothing more than clever digital trickery spreading via the Web.

But our friend Bob Collins at Minnesota Public Radio assures us he’s seen it with his own eyes:

There is a billboard along I-35 near Wyoming, Minn., with a huge photo of former president George W. Bush and this question: “Miss Me Yet?”
